Naaman was the commander of the army of Syria, a person of great importance and status. Yet Naaman was a leper, and that was an incurable disease. Naaman’s wife had a servant girl from Israel who told her master that a prophet there – Elisha – would be able to heal him. Instead of healing Naaman directly, Elisha tells Naaman to go and bathe into the Jordan river 7 times and he would be clean. Naaman was angry and would have left, but his servants asked him to do what the prophet said, and thus Naaman was healed. This is the story told by the servant girl in Naaman’s house.

Suspicious and angry when hearing the request:
Bathe in Jordan seven times, that’s all he had to do,
Just like the prophet Elisha told him to.

Some say that I should have let Naaman die,
